Here comes summer

The summer months are fast approaching, and we’re rushing head first into the lead up to Christmas.

It’s been a busy year helping people with their hearing needs — we appreciate there is increasing competition in our industry, so want to say thank you to all of you — our customers — who are so supportive and encouraging of local business!

We navigated the business through yet another lockdown and, rightly so, are super proud of our team, all of whom are now fully vaccinated. We encourage you to do your bit for yourself, your family and friends, and Aotearoa. Please get vaccinated.

We have some great technology offers in our clinics right now, including our latest offerings from two of our leading Europeans brands.

ReSound has a new platform known as ‘One’ which uses a microphone technology called M&RIE. It places an additional microphone inside the ear canal to assist with sound localisation and directionality, as well as improved hearing in windy conditions – like we often get in the lower South!

Additionally, you may wish to have a look at a super product known as Lyric by Phonak. Have you ever wonder what it would be like to have your hearing back 24/7 and not have to worry about handling hearing aids or changing the batteries? Well Lyric, a subscription-based hearing aid, may be your answer.

And with Christmas fast approaching our Southland clinics are looking for nominations from the community for people who deserve to Hear for Christmas. Do you know someone who deserves better hearing, but just can’t afford the technology? Why not nominate them for a pair of hearing aids? This year our Southland clinics’ Hear for Christmas campaign is giving away three sets to deserving people whom you nominate. So email your nominations to info@audiologysouth.co.nz or drop them in to your local clinic!
