Bluetooth can be finicky, especially if your phone is juggling multiple apps in the background. If your Bluetooth isn’t working well, it's often because your phone is too busy with other tasks.

Quick Fixes:

  1. Restart your phone: Even if apps seem closed, background processes can still interfere. A restart often clears things up.

  2. Check pairings: Ensure your hearing aids are still paired. Sometimes, they might disconnect, or the pairing might disappear.

  3. Reinstall the app: If restarting and re-pairing don’t work, try deleting and reinstalling the hearing aid app, and check for updates.

  4. Update your software: Keeping your phone’s software up to date is crucial. Updates often include fixes for Bluetooth issues, so don’t ignore them. Note that updates can sometimes cause delays for hearing aid manufacturers to catch up, so patience might be needed.

  5. Reduce interference: Bluetooth can be affected by large bodies of water (like your body), microwaves, and other electronics. Try moving around or adjusting your environment to improve reception.
