We’re thrilled to introduce Omar Sierra as the newest audiologist to join the Audiology South family! Originally from Mexico, Omar moved to Australia in 2010 to pursue his studies. After years of soaking up the sun (and avoiding the snakes!), he and his wife, Kristy, have now made Dunedin their home with their three (soon to be four) children.
Omar will be based in our Dunedin, Ōamaru and Mosgiel clinics. His family loves outdoor adventures, and now that they’re in New Zealand, they’re enjoying all the nature without the heat (and poisonous wildlife!) they left behind in Australia!
Omar became an audiologist because he’s passionate about helping people. He’s dedicated to using the latest technology to make a real difference in people’s lives, especially when it comes to improving communication and connection with their families.
Outside of work, Omar enjoys playing the guitar and writing, producing, and performing music alongside Kristy. Omar is also a big fan of spending quality time with his family, right now building epic Lego creations together!
Since arriving in New Zealand, Omar has been struck by how friendly and approachable Kiwis are, and he’s excited to be part of the Audiology South team and the community here.
