Among the attendees were Audiology South co-director Simon Melville, and audiologist Hilary Gardener. Being two of the three attendees from New Zealand was an honour for the Audiology South team.

Lyric is a 100% invisible hearing aid, that is worn in the ear 24/7. With no batteries to change, and a clear natural sound, wearers can forget they're wearing aids.

The workshop aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing amongst Lyric specialists with participants engaging in discussions about best practices for Lyric fittings. Interesting case studies from throughout New Zealand and Australia were used to enhance understanding and application of this innovative hearing solution. The focus was not only on traditional hearing loss but also on expanding the use of Lyric to new populations, such as individuals with memory and cognitive issues who often find conventional daily wear hearing aids challenging.

A key highlight was the exploration of ongoing research into the use of Lyric for clients with significant tinnitus. The goal is to understand and potentially reduce tinnitus levels, offering new hope for those affected by this condition.

Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity for these specialists to share their knowledge and push the boundaries of what's possible with Lyric hearing aids.
