I had a hip replacement in February, and the big learning from that experience is that getting old is not fun! It’s full of surprises and new experiences, including medical treatment. My convalescence has been a good time for reflection. I’ve become a whole lot more sympathetic to clients who no doubt have multiple health issues. The easier and more compassionate we can deliver hearing healthcare, the better it will be for you!
Our team has an upcoming away-day where we review how we’re doing things and what we could do better. The top topic on my list for the team will be how we ensure that our focus is on you to ensure we deliver exceptional hearing healthcare every time.
Audiology South strongly advocates continuing education for our team, and at the beginning of April, Anthony Rowcroft and Hannah Teviotdale are off to the American Academy of Audiology conference in New Orleans. No doubt they will bring back loads of knowledge and details of products to roll out in 2020.
The more that hearing technology advances, the better value you get. 2019 saw wireless bluetooth streaming, smartphone connectivity, smaller sleeker designs, and rechargeable hearing devices all settle into the market as industry standard; no doubt 2020 will bring even more innovations.
We are excited to announce that our new Invercargill clinic is scheduled to open in late April or early May. It takes time to get the fit-out right, but as always we’ll keep you updated, and you’ll be the first to hear about it when we make the move. If you’re curious about the location, the clinic will be right beside Industry Café on Arena Avenue.
