Battery recycling

Audiology South strongly encourages you to recycle hearing aid batteries rather than putting them in your household rubbish.

We provide battery recycling boxes and have designated our clinics as drop-off recycling points to make this easy.

Rechargeable hearing aids

As a final word, many companies now offer rechargeable hearing aids, which do away with the need for batteries and are kinder on our environment! They are just so convenient, and are great for people who struggle to change batteries because of eyesight or dexterity issues. We see a future where hearing aids will use this power option as a default.
