Meet your local Audiologist and ENT team
Audiology South ear clinic
Owner-operated by local Audiologists
Audiology South (Invercargill, Dunedin, Queenstown, Oamaru, Te Anau, Gore, Winton and Mosgiel) is locally owned by its practitioners and not part of a hearing aid or corporate group. We can therefore offer a full range of hearing devices, without being tied to suppliers. Our experienced clinicians Anthony, Simon, Anne, Nicholas, and Deborah have a wealth of combined knowledge and skills. Our hearing and ear clinic has earned an enviable reputation through taking the time to ensure you have the best possible outcome with your hearing.
In-depth hearing expertise
The particular clinical interests and experience of our staff mean that a wider range of professional services in audiology can be offered from this practice than is usual in other private practices.
We work with a number of less-advantaged charity cases each year and provide them with the gift of hearing for free! We also support the Listening Bus, which travels around the country, providing free hearing screens in smaller local communities. What's more, we support various charity initiatives fronted by The National Foundation for the Deaf and NZ Audiological Society. Watch this space as we gather momentum in this field. If you know of a good cause you’d like to nominate, please contact us. We’re always open to new ideas.
Access to Leading ENT surgeons
Audiology South’s premises is also home to ENT Southland, and we have a close association with ENT surgeons Patrick Dawes, Matthew Leaper and Dean Ruske. ENT (also known as otorhinolaryngology) is a branch of medicine that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of ear, nose, throat, head and neck disorders.
These three Dunedin-based specialists all have international otolaryngology experience and hold fortnightly ENT clinics at our premises, providing valuable integration of service for our patients. Where possible our Customer Care team will try to arrange hearing assessments for patients on the same day, just prior to their ENT consultations with our specialists, saving time and avoiding inconvenience, particularly for those who live out of town.
Giving Back To Our Community
Giving back is a big part of our business philosophy. We believe successful businesses should make a stand and support their local communities as much as they can! We predominantly support charities and events that directly relate to hearing impairment.
Restoring someone’s hearing could help them find new work or support their mental well-being in tough times. Each December, Audiology South fits a number of free hearing aids to locals in need, just in time for Christmas!
We minimise waste wherever we can and recycle all our supplier packaging and hearing aid batteries within our local ecosystem. We also recycle and donate a number of hearing aids to hearing support organisations in the South Pacific region. If you have any older/spare aids and would like them to go to a good home we’d love to hear from you.
We are committed to providing you with the very best and most affordable hearing healthcare. Backed up and supported by our delightful Customer Care team, you can always be assured of friendly and understanding help. Meet our team >
